FAQs

What makes The Little Duck Collective different from other therapy practices?

The Little Duck Collective is a revolutionary pediatric practice specializing in individualized, collaborative care. We bring the therapy to YOU whether it be in the home, school, daycare, or virtually. We provide access to quality healthcare for your little ones without leaving the comfort of your home.

Communication is key to maintaining a healthy and trusted relationship with your child's healthcare provider. The Little Duck Collective fosters a strong bond between families and therapists. From the moment you schedule an appointment, to the thorough evaluation and treatment sessions, we ensure open lines of communication for any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

Parents may wonder if their child needs developmental therapy if they observe certain signs and behaviors. One key aspect is a noticeable delay in achieving developmental milestones such as sitting up, crawling, walking, or speaking. If a child consistently exhibits difficulty with communication, social interactions, or displays limited imaginative play skills, it may be indicative of a need for developmental therapy. Additionally, if a child struggles with fine or gross motor skills or shows significant challenges with sensory processing, seeking developmental therapy could be beneficial. Parents should trust their instincts, consult with pediatric healthcare professionals, and explore available resources to ensure their child receives the support necessary for their unique developmental journey.

Do you accept insurance?

The Little Duck Collective is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans. We also bill out-of-network with Aetna and United Healthcare. We are an Illinois Early Intervention agency for children ages 0-3. We also accept private pay in the following payment methods:

  • Cash, check, or card (credit, debit, HSA, or FSA)

  • Superbills are available upon request

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a document that may be used by therapy practices to streamline the billing process and ensure accurate reimbursement for their services. It serves as an itemized invoice that details the provided treatments, procedures, and diagnosis codes for each client. Superbills are provided upon request and may be particularly beneficial for families seeking out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance.

Prior to beginning services at The Little Duck Collective, it is advised that you reach out to your insurance provider to learn more about how you could be reimbursed for services. If your insurance company requests information for pre-authorization prior to beginning services, please reach out to us and we’d be happy to provide the necessary information.
