Meet Lydia
Lydia Oh, OTD, OTR/L is a Chicago-based pediatric occupational therapist, feeding therapist, and early interventionist. Lydia knew she wanted to pursue a career in occupational therapy early on in her college career. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in three years while working as a personal trainer and personal assistant for college students with physical disabilities. From there, she directly entered the Master of Occupational Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA. She then went on to receive a Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at New York University where she specialized in assistive technology across the lifespan with a niche focus on adaptive clothing. When she’s not working, you can find her playing tennis or with her dog, Bomi.
Lydia’s approach to therapy is child-led and developmentally-minded. She utilizes the parent/caregiver coaching model to support families through their individual learning styles. Her mission is to provide compassionate, quality care and make a positive impact on families.
Lydia has an Illinois Early Intervention credential and is trained in multiple feeding therapy certification courses, including but not limited to Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, AEIOU: An Integrated Approach to Pediatric Feeding, and Beckman Oral Motor.
